2013-14 MSCSA Annual Report

The 2013-14 MSCSA Annual Report

Thank you for supporting student advocacy throughout Minnesota! The student leaders of the Minnesota State College Student Association enjoy the privilege of working in a higher education system dedicated to student involvement in decision-making. As a result, our students become more invested in their communities, institutions and education.

Our association is excited to reflect on another successful year of engaging students in advocacy and leadership development. Click here to download our 2013-2014 annual report that showcases and celebrates our students’ work.

Over the past year, our students passed state legislation that improves access to Postsecondary Enrollment Options, continued credit transfer conversations and created an endowed scholarship fund to recognize student success into perpetuity.

As always, I welcome your feedback on how our association can improve and continue to drive change in higher education.

Sincerely,

Justin Klander, MSCSA Executive Director

Dear Friends of MSCSA:

The student leaders of the Minnesota State College Student Association enjoy the privilege of working in a higher education system dedicated to student involvement in decision-making. As a result, our students become more invested in their communities, institutions, and education.

We appreciate the collaboration that occurs between administrators, lawmakers, our fellow stakeholders and students, both past and current, to make our education system so successful. We are excited to share our first-ever MSCSA annual report with you and believe that it really showcases this collaboration.

Too often in the ever-evolving higher education world, we do not have time to pause and reflect on our accomplishments or analyze our challenges. This annual report is a chance for us to take a moment and catalog our advocacy and leadership development work from the past year.

We invite you to take a moment and look through our annual report. Many of you will see initiatives that we partnered on together, donations that you generously made to the MSCSA Leadership Scholarship Program, or events that were held on your campus.

While we might not be on the same side of every issue, it is reassuring to know that we are all working for the students of Minnesota.

As always, I welcome any and all feedback. Thank you for your time and I wish you a happy new year!

Sincerely,
Justin Klander
Executive Director
Minnesota State College Student Association
