Each year MSCSA awards the MSCSA Leadership Scholarship and the McCormick Leadership Scholarship to students who lead not only on campus but also in their community and who show exemplary academic skill. To celebrate the recipients and fundraise for the scholarship program, we hold an annual event, the MSCSA Leadership Scholarship Dinner and Silent Auction.
In 2013 we were nearly at capacity in the ballroom at the Bloomington Hilton. In 2014, let’s sell out! There are many ways to get involved in the event. There are weeks and weeks of behind the scenes work that goes into making sure the night goes smoothly. From tying ribbon to building a display for the “Wall of Wine,” there’s something for everyone!
We are planning to have the “Wall of Wine” again this year and need help seeking donations for wine. Last year, all wine was donated and we have a goal that we will break 120 bottles this year! Assist MSCSA in seeking donations or donate a bottle yourself.
For the Silent Auction we are seeking campus programs to donate high quality handmade items. Some of the items from last year include a computer, chess set, and blankets. Are you or do you know someone who could donate a handmade item to the silent auction? Let MSCSA know!
Sign up to attend! All proceeds from the dinner tickets will go directly to the MSCSA Leadership Scholarship Fund. During the dinner program you will get to know some of our outstanding student leaders. Be sure to invite family and friends who may be interested to hear what MSCSA is all about and learn more about our scholarship recipients. Guests are always welcome and the event often grows into a tradition for many!
Enjoy the evening last year? Never experienced the event? Can’t get enough? See you at the elegant 2014 MSCSA Leadership Scholarship Dinner and Silent Auction. Experience an evening of excitement that you don’t have everyday. Beautiful formal attire, keynote address, one-of-a-kind silent auction items, delicious dinner, the “Wall of Wine,” and discussion with elected student leaders and scholarship recipients is just a sampling of what is to come. See you there!
