On August 17-19, student leaders from around the state of Minnesota gathered in Lanesboro, MN at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center to learn more about their roles and what it means to be a MSCSA leader. Governing Council representatives and alternatives, Platform Committee representatives and alternatives, and student senate presidents or campus representatives met in groups to discuss what they would like to see happen for MSCSA in the upcoming year and develop a plan to make it happen. Students also had the opportunity to take an Intercultural Development Inventory to learn more about their intercultural skill set.
On Thursday afternoon the student leaders broke into groups for team building activities. Some students completed group challenges, while others went 30 feet in the air for treetops high ropes courses. While some were push to the edge of their comfort zone, all participants came out as a stronger team.
The student leaders are excited and ready for the upcoming year, and we know it will be a great one! Make sure to check out the photos from the training
